Karnataka government issues circular to Gram Panchayats on plan approval

Bengaluru: The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department has issued guidelines to Gram Panchayats on measures to be followed while granting approval for layouts formed in converted lands – except those in local planning area.

According to the circular, the areas in the layout earmarked for roads, parks, vehicle parking, civic amenities, public space and other basic amenities must be transferred to the government free of cost under a registered relinquishment deed executed by the layout developer.
