FIR against PDO for WhatsApp status status insulting CM Siddaramaiah

Kalaburagi: An FIR has been lodged against Suntanur Gram Panchayat PDO Praveen Kumar of Aland taluk for posting WhatsApp status insulting the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He had posted mobile status 'Sidramullah Khan' by editing the photograph of the Chief Minister and dressing a Muslim cap.

Suntanur villager leader Mallikarjun Dannoor filed a complaint at Nimbarga police station. Aland Taluk Kuruba Sangh youth wing president Biranna Poojary and villager Mahalingappa Harwal have also submitted a memorandum to Panchayat officials demanding disciplinary action against the PDO.

"The FIR lodged against the PDO and the complaint given by other villagers have been brought to the notice of Zilla Panchayat CEO Bhanwar Singh Meena. A report has also been submitted recommending the further action," Aland Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Manappa Kattimani", said.
