<p>Belagavi: The <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/top-karnataka-news">Karnataka</a> government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK’s Chevening Scholarship Programme for women graduates to study master’s degree in the UK.</p>.<p>British Deputy High Commissioner, Karnataka and Kerala, Chandru Iyer said, “Karnataka is the first state in South India to take up the Chevening offer.”</p>.5 slots in UK's Chevening Scholarship to be reserved for Nagaland candidates, pact signed.<p>In total, 15 women graduates will benefit from the programme in the next three years. The first batch of five women will be pursuing their UK education from September 2025. The 3-year programme is estimated to cost Rs 6 crore of which Rs 3 crore will be borne by the state government and the remaining by the Chevening.</p>
