Kodavas protest Centre's move to build rail connect to Coorg

Hundreds of Kodavas gathered at the exhibition grounds, Mysuru on Sunday, protesting against the Central government's move to build a rail connection to Coorg.  

The Kodavas who arrived from all over Coorg in hundreds of cars and over 30 buses, took out a procession from exhibition grounds to Kote Anjaneya Swamy temple via Hardinge Circle and Albert Victor Road.

The demonstrators carried placards that read "Save Kodagu, Save Cauvery'. Later they returned by the same route and held a convention at the Devaraj Urs wrestling grounds.  

Actor Suresh Heblikar and Supreme Court advocate Brijesh Kalappa took part in the protest.
