Landless urge govt to provide title deeds

Bhoomi Matthu Vasati Vanchitara Horata Samiti members conducted a protest here on Wednesday and urged authorities to provide title deeds to those eligible by clearing the applications submitted under form 50, 53, 94 C and 94 CC.

Gathering at Azad Park Circle, the workers shouted slogans against the state government.

Landless people of Danahalli, Mallanduru, Kesarke, Mulluvare of Chikkamagaluru taluk, Samse, Naganamakki, Kunduru, Saragodu, Anajuru, Gonibeedu of Mudigere taluk, Seegodu of Koppa taluk and also the landless of Hosakere village in Sringeri taluk have submitted the application for lands. They demanded that pending applications should be disposed-off soon.

Hundreds of people have been dwelling in the land bearing survey number 53 in Kadur city limits, by constructing huts from the last many years. The huts have been cleared by the town municipal council without prior notice. The homeless should be provided with rehabilitation, demanded protestors.

They also demanded title deeds for Dalits in Kallugudde and Heruru in Koppa taluk.

Farmers who are cultivating land in Lakkammahalli in Lakya hobli should be provided with patta land. The gomala land in survey number 427 should be distributed among the poor after clearing the encroachment, were their other demands.

Samiti state unit member Chandru, district unit convener Gause Mohiyuddin, members Neelaguli Padmanabh, leaders Ramu Kale, Krishnamurthy, Handi Lakshman and Vasanth Kumar took part in the protest.
