Leopard trapped at Chamundi Hills

A leopard was trapped in a cage set by forest department staffers at Gowrishankar Nagar at the foot of Chamundi Hills on Monday morning.

The leopard was first sighted by Puttaswamy of the area in the early hours of the morning, who was keeping a watch over his herd of goats.The leopard had attacked the herd a few days ago.
                           
The leopard was later transported to Nagarhole National Park by the forest department staff.

The news of the leopard being trapped spread like wildfire and a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the wild animal.
