<p>A day after the state government granted a 50 per cent concession on the payment of pending traffic challan cases, known as e-challan cases, the Bengaluru Traffic Police started receiving pending fine amounts through Paytm.</p>.<p>Speaking to DH, Special Commission Traffic M A Saleem, said, "People have started responding to the 50 percent concession. Till 12 noon on the first day, after the announcement was made, we have received Rs five lakh pending fine amounts through Paytm. People wanting to pay fines can go to any of the 48 traffic police stations, avail the services on the first floor of the Traffic Management Centre, Bangalore One Centres and violations outside the city can be paid through KarnatakaOne. They can also make the payment to traffic officers available on the road." </p>.<p>One can also visit the website https://bangaloretrafficpolice.gov.in to check for dues. </p>.<p>Saleem, added, "More than two crore notices are pending from last seven to eight years and about Rs 500 crore is due as fine amount." About the list of offences that top the chart, Saleem, said "Helmetless riding tops the list, followed by one-way violation, jumping signal lights and wrong parking which include randomly parking at bus stops, footpaths, zebra crossing and at 'wrong parking zones.' </p>.<p>This one-time measure will be in force till the next state-wide Lok Adalat, scheduled for February 11, 2023. The government has issued an order in this regard, pursuant to the decision taken at the January 27, 2023 meeting, presided by Justice B Veerappa, Executive Chairman, Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA). </p>.<p>The order stated that the meeting had resolved to request the transport department to take steps at the earliest and report compliance in order to ensure access to justice for all. </p>.<p>Check out the revised penalty for traffic rule violations below:</p>
