<p>Mandya: The <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/karnataka">Karnataka</a> Sangha will soon start the state's first Moodalapaya Yakshagana training centre here.</p>.<p>Addressing a media conference here on Thursday, Karnataka Sangha president Prof Jayaprakash Gowda said Mysuru-based Dr Gangubai Hanagal University of Music and Performing Arts had granted recognition to the centre and a one-year diploma course will start from February 8. </p>.<p>The duration is 10 months and the centre is being opened in association with Karnataka Moodalapaya Yakshagana Parishat. Those in the 18-40 age group and have passed SSLC are eligible. Classes will be held from 2 pm every Saturday to 2 pm on Sunday, he said.</p>.<p>Free food and accommodation will be provided during training. A certificate will be issued on completing the course.
