MLC demands bulldozer action over footwear insult to Ganesha idol

“It is not enough to just register a case against the culprits. Their houses should be demolished with bulldozers. If attempts are made to shield the accused, society itself will rise and take bulldozers to their homes,” said MLC CT Ravi.

Chikkamagaluru: MLC CT Ravi has demanded stringent action against those who desecrated a Ganapati idol by placing a footwear on it in Belur town in Hassan.

The police should collect CCTV footage of the incident. Alleging a deliberate conspiracy, he said, “This act was done with the intention of sparking communal unrest. The placing of footwear was part of a larger conspiracy. If the patience of good people is tested, no one will be spared.”
