<p>Mysuru: MLC Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah asserted that his father Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will complete his full five-year term. He also said that the AICC general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala also has confirmed the same.</p><p>Speaking to the press, Dr Yathindra said that there would be no change in the leadership. </p><p>In reply to a question on Siddaramaiah touted to head the OBC committee of the AICC, he asked, “Who says nomination to the OBC committee is a promotion? </p><p>"Siddaramaiah, being a leader of the backward classes, is a member of the committee, besides other backward class leaders from across the country”.</p> .<p>Dr Yathindra dismissed any connection between his father’s OBC committee nomination and rumours of a change in the CM’s post. He criticised the speculative discussions, stating, “How can you people just assume things? Those who discuss should also have some common sense. One should not believe everything the BJP says”.</p><p>He highlighted that such rumours have persisted since the government came to power in 2023 and said, “With my father completing two and a half years in November, those aspiring to be CM might voice them. </p><p>"It isn't wrong. However, the final decision rests with the party high command and MLAs. Don’t ask such questions. We have replied to them repeatedly, since the government's formation”.</p> .<p>Dr Yathindra responded to Rambhapuri seer’s statement that ‘freebies make people lazy’ and pointed out that similar criticisms arose when the schemes were first introduced. “But the people did not become lazy. Poor people won’t become lazy just by having enough to eat. They don’t get everything by just receiving rice. They work hard for a livelihood,” he stated.</p><p>He challenged the critics to question the Central government, on waiver of loans of wealthy corporates.</p>
