Muttulakshmi acquitted

As many as 22 persons were killed in the bomb blast at Sorekai Maduvu near Palara in 1993.

Seven acquitted

Muttulakshmi and others were arrested for abetting the crime under TADA Act.

The court acquitted seven persons, including Kolattur Mani and Shivasubrahmanyam, for want of evidence. 

However, Muttulakshmi has been remanded in judicial custody in connection with a shootout near Rangaswamy in which six policemen were killed.

The hearing of the case has been scheduled for April 5.

Muttulakshmi has been acquitted in three out of the four TADA cases registered against her.
