Mysuru zoo gets new guests from Chennai

 Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, popular as Mysuru Zoo, has received new animals from Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Chennai, under an animal exchange programme, recently. The zoo received two female sambars, rhesus macaque and reticulated python.

The exchange programme was executed to introduce new bloodline and replenish the existing animal stock in the zoo, said Zoo Executive Director Kamala Karikalan. In exchange of these animals, Mysuru Zoo has spared a nilgai, silver pheasant and common ring-necked pheasant.
