Prime Ministers Office has written to Mysuru Deputy Commissioner to take measures on alternative model of education system based on the principle 'School for Children'.

The PMO has sent a communication following a complaint about the present education system by M R Ananth Kumar of Mysuru based Divya Deepa Charitable Trust.

In his complaint, Kumar had mentioned that the present education system worked on the assumption that all children were like machines who could learn a pre-determined textual content in a pre-determined time interval and in a pre-determined way. But school dropouts, rural first-generation school goers from BPL families, child labourers found it difficult to learn that way and failed to reach the grades, though they were mentally normal.

The PMOs office has sent a communication to the DC who has directed to Deputy Director for Public Instructions to take measures.
