Processions marked the Eid-Milad festival celebrated by Muslims here on Saturday.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed, huge processions were taken out from Ganeshpet and Islampur, which concluded at the Dargah at Asar Mohalla. Thousands of people and Muslim religious leaders took part in the processions, which also included devotional music and display of Quran messages.

Markazi Darul Uloom Ahle Sunnat Gousia had organised a procession from Islampur in Old Hubballi. Another procession was taken out from Ganeshpet. Exchange of greetings and highlighting the contributions of Prophet Mohammed also marked the celebrations.

Anjuman-e-Islam President Jabbarkhan Honnalli, former minister A M Hindasgeri, Hubballi-Dharwad Urban Development Authority (HDUDA) Chairman Anwar Mudhol and others took part in the festival.
