Rains inundate several roads in Mandya

Even as the low pressure build up over the Bay of Bengal affecting neighbouring States, showers began around 4 pm in Mandya. The rains lead to the deluge in the streets and overflowing of  clogged drains and sewage lines.  

Many houses in the low-lying areas were inundated and vehicular movement was also affected. The rains resumed again in the evening affecting many office goers returning home. However, the rains  brought respite to people as the soaring temperatures plummeted.
