One of the passengers told Deccan Herald that the passengers who booked 2-tier AC tickets were asked to travel in 3-tier AC coach from Mangalore Railway station. In fact, the 2-tier AC coach of Maveli Express was shifted to Malabar Express, which started from Mangalore at 6.15 pm the same day, the passenger said adding that all passengers with 2-tier AC coach tickets had to undergo mental agony due to Railways’ attitude.
An official said that though the Maveli Express should have one 2-tier AC coach, it was shifted to Malabar Express to facilitate the journey of Union Minister Vayalar Ravi, who travelled in the train from Kannur.
