Shivarajkumar leaves for US, to undergo surgery on December 24

Bengaluru: Kannada actor Shivarajkumar on Wednesday left for Florida in the US for medical treatment. The actor will undergo surgery on December 24 at Miami Cancer Institute in Florida.

"I am happy to have received blessings from all the stars and my fans. I am thankful to the media for not glorifying the news," he said while addressing media persons before leaving for the airport.

Shivarajkumar added, "The parameters are all good. But it is natural to be a little anxious when one is leaving home for a surgery. I got a little emotional looking at my sister, relatives and my fans. But otherwise, I'm confident."

In November, before the release of his film Bhairathi Ranagal, the actor opened up about undergoing treatment for four weeks.

The actor said he would be back in Bengaluru on January 26. The actor, along with his wife Geetha, visited the Venkateshwara temple in Tirupati earlier this month.
