<p>Mysuru: MLC Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah said, the contributions of his father and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, for the development of Mysuru, are equal to or even more than that of Maharaja Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, stoking a debate.</p><p>During an interaction with media persons, in Mysuru on Friday, he was replying to a query on the criticism about the Sadhana Samavesh held by his father in Mysuru last week.</p>.Mhadei river row: Goa CM Pramod Sawant asks Karnataka govt to follow cooperative federalism.<p>It can be noted that Nalvadi, who was described as Rajarshi, meaning sage-king by Mahatma Gandhi is highly revered in the erstwhile Mysuru state, that comprises the present 14 districts of the present Karnataka state. His term, from 1902 to 1940, is described as the golden age in the history of Mysuru state, when education, irrigation, agriculture, industry, road transport, railways, and science and technology were given a boost. The period also marked social and cultural reforms, with the inclusion of all communities in the overall development of the state.</p><p>Dr Yathindra said, Siddaramaiah has allocated huge funds for the development of Mysuru during his last term (2013-18) and also the current term. “Thus the Sadhana (achievement) rally was required. The opposition leaders criticise out of jealousy,” he said.</p>
