Strike fizzles out on day two

The second day of the strike called by trade unions evoked lukewarm response on Wednesday.

Business was as usual at shops and commercial establishments. Schools and colleges also functioned normally barring at some districts where holiday was declared. The strike was limited protest rallies in Mysuru.

Buses plied as usual in Koppal and Ballari. The labour union members forcibly closed some banks, shops, and hotels in Hosapete. However, they reopened after some time.

The strike did not affect in most parts of the state. However, peopled faced inconvenience due to lack of bus service in Bagalkot and Gadag. There was neither any response in the coastal districts.
