Train service extended

From January 26, the train will begin its journey from Hubli every Wednesday at 6:50 am. This train (Train No 12777) will travel via Ranebennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arasikere and Yashwanthpur, and will reach Kochuveli at 6:30 am next day. In the return direction, Train No 12778 will leave Kochuveli at 12:50 pm every Thursday.

As per the announcement made in the last railway budget, Bangalore City-Nagarcoil Weekly Express train will be introduced on Thursday (January 20). Every Thursday, train No 16537 will leave Bangalore City at 11:05 am, and will reach Nagarkoil at 2 pm next day, via Hosur, Salem, Madurai and Virudhunagar.

In the return direction, train no 16538 will leave Nagarcoil at 12:45 pm on every Saturday, and will reach Bangalore at 4 pm next day.

In view of this, Bangalore-Nagarcoil and Hubli-Kochuveli special express trains running on this line have been cancelled, said a press release issued by the South Western Railway (SWR).
