University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor G Hemanth Kumar directed officials on Wednesday to conduct re-examination for MEd first semester students after it was found that their question paper on ‘Introduction to Education Studies’ was a repetition of the 2017 question paper. The exam was conducted by the Department of Education.

The decision to conduct re-examination was taken after the vice chancellor held a meeting over the issue. On December 26, Deccan Herald had published a report on the repetition of the question paper in the examination held for MEd first semester a couple of days ago.

"We will decide the date for re-examination. I have directed the Department of Education to submit the report regarding repetition of the question paper. The report will be tabled during the Syndicate meeting, which will be held on December 28. We will take action against those found guilty, said Kumar.

Registrar R Rajanna and professor J Somashekar attended the meeting.
