Addressing reporters, the party leader H D Revanna alleged that the ruling BJP government has not been able to clear bills of contractors due to lack of revenue. Bills worth over Rs 800 crore are pending in the PWD alone for the last one year, he alleged.
On the other hand, the government has not been able to spend money allocated in the budget also.

“The chief minister’s statement that fiscal position is healthy, is a lie. If he is so confident, let him come for a public debate on it,” Revanna challenged.

To avoid debate on the budget and the financial position, the government hurriedly wound up the Legislature session recently, he alleged and added that the session should be held for at least 60 days as per the rule book.
