. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday arrested Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in connection with the seizure of banned drugs onboard a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

. Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is now being taken for mandatory medical check up by the Narcotics Control Bureau. He is said to be produced before holiday court.

. Amid a "debate" over his health, Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath, 74, has challenged state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is 12 years younger than him, to run a race with him to see who is fitter.

. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has detained around 10 persons after raiding a passenger cruise ship anchored here and busting a party onboard where drugs were being used, an official said on Sunday.

A few of the detainees are linked to a celebrity or a high-profile person, he said.

Based on a tip-off that a party was scheduled on the ship, an NCB team, led by its zonal director Sameer Wankhede, had raided the Goa-bound cruise ship on Saturday evening and recovered drugs from some of the passengers, the official said. (PTI)

. The recovery made from the dropped packet included an AK assault rifle, three magazines, 30 rounds and a telescope, the officials said.

They said the recovery was made from Sounjana village of Phalain Mandal, about six km from the IB, late Saturday night after a villager informed police about a humming sound and dropping of a payload by a suspected drone from Pakistan. (PTI)

. The situation in Western Sahara has "significantly deteriorated" over the past year, the UN Secretary-General has said, citing the resumption of hostilities between Morocco and the Polisario independence movement in the disputed territory.

Morocco views Western Sahara as an integral part of its territory, but the Polisario -- recognized internationally as the representative of the Sahrawi people -- has long sought independence.

The "resumption of hostilities between Morocco and Frente POLISARIO is a major setback toward the achievement of a political solution," Antonio Guterres said in a report submitted to the Security Council. (AFP)

. A minor girl, who was allegedly raped and kidnapped by a youth about a year ago in Uttar Pradesh, was recovered by police.

The accused has also been arrested, police said on Saturday.

Suryawa police station in-charge Brijesh Kumar Maurya said the accused, Pankaj Kumar, befriended the minor girl and raped her several times, resulting in pregnancy. ( PTI )

. To ensure timely sale of paddy and remunerative prices to farmers, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday evening launched 20 procurement centres (PPCs) in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts, an official said.

In a first, the government of J&K has started procuring wheat in addition to paddy, the official spokesman said.

Speaking at the launch, the Lt Governor said the amount of sale proceeds will be directly credited into the accounts of farmers within 72 hours.

. The BJP's Jammu and Kashmir unit on Saturday filed an FIR against Congress leader Abdul Rashid Dar over his alleged derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A BJP spokesperson said an FIR was lodged at Ram Munshi Bag police station against Dar, a former MLA from Sopore. BJP leaders also took out a protest march, he said.

The spokesperson alleged that Dar had made some derogatory remarks against the prime minister during an event of the Congress party. ( PTI )
