<p>Mumbai: The <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/mumbai">Mumbai</a>-headquartered Central Railway’s Cultural Team won accolades as they clinched the Sartaj Trophy for Best Overall Performance at the Inter-Railway Cultural Competition (Dance)-2025 held at Integral Coach Factory in Chennai on 26-27 February.</p><p>The annual Inter-Railway Cultural Competition (Dance)-2025 featured competition in 2 categories, viz. Solo Classical Dance and Group Dance.</p><p>Central Railway’s Rituparna Bhowmik clinched the 1st prize in Solo Classical Dance category from among 17 participants for her presentation of Kathak dance.</p>.Telangana tunnel collapse: South Central Railway joins rescue teams with metal cutters.<p>The Central Railway Group Dance team won the 3rd prize in the Group Dance category from among 18 teams for their presentation of the Daangi Dance folk dance of Daang region situated on the border of Maharashtra & Gujarat.</p><p>The Central Railway Dance Team also clinched the Sartaj trophy, awarded for Best Overall Performance among all the participating Zones, Workshops and Production Units of Indian Railways.</p><p>A total of 23 artistes of Central Railway, including dancers, choreographers, accompanists, makeup artistes, and Assistants led by the team manager were part of the Central Railway Cultural Team.</p><p>The Central Railway Cultural Academy(CRCA), which is the nodal organization for Cultural Events on Central Railway, organizes competitions at Divisional level and the winners are shortlisted to represent Central Railway at the Zonal Level.</p><p>Central Railway General Manager Dharam Veer Meena congratulated the CR Team and motivated them to keep giving such wonderful performances.</p>
