'Dhurandhar' actor Nadeem Khan arrested for alleged sexual assault of house help on pretext of marriage

Actor Nadeem Khan, last seen in the Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar, has been arrested in Mumbai on charges of rape. A 41-year-old woman, who worked as his domestic help, alleged that Nadeem sexually assaulted her for ten years by trapping her with false marriage promises. Police officials confirmed the arrest this week, saying that the decade-long exploitation reportedly spanned multiple residences across Versova and Malvani.

In Dhurandhar, Nadeem essayed the role of Akhlak, the cook working for dacoit Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna). Nadeem was arrested on January 22 (Thursday), according to Malvani police. Police sources said the complainant worked as domestic help at the residences of several actors before coming into contact with Khan years ago.

In her complaint, the domestic help said she came into contact with Khan in 2015. Over time, they became close. The accused allegedly promised to marry her, and on that assurance, repeatedly had physical relations with her at the residence. She thought he would marry her, so she kept up the connection for almost ten years. But when he later declined, she went to the Versova police and lodged a case earlier this month.

Meanwhile, a police officer said, since the alleged physical relationship took place for the first time at the complainant’s house within the jurisdiction of Malvani police, and the victim resides in that area, Versova Police transferred the case on zero FIR to Malvani police.

Having shared the screen with veterans like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Mishra and Adil Hussain, Nadeem Khan’s arrest has triggered a viral wave of his archival photos with industry stalwarts. This legal controversy arrives just as he prepares for the February 6th release of Vadh 2, the highly anticipated sequel co-starring Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra.
