<p>Indore: A Meghalaya police team probing the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi on Thursday questioned a few acquaintances of main accused Sonam Raghuvanshi and her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, an official said.</p>.<p>They also questioned a taxi driver who is suspected to have taken Sonam to Uttar Pradesh from Indore in the aftermath of the murder.</p>.<p>Meanwhile, the elder brother of Raja Raghuvanshi on Thursday accused Sonam of misleading the police, and demanded that she be subjected to a detailed questioning.</p>.Honeymoon murder: Court extends police remand of Sonam, Raj; 3 hitmen sent to judicial custody.<p>He demanded that Sonam and four other accused in the case be brought to Indore for a thorough investigation to know the "complete truth" behind the murder.</p>.<p>Raja Raghuvanshi, who married Sonam on May 11, went missing on May 23 during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. His mutilated body was found in a deep gorge near a waterfall in Sohra area (also known as Cherrapunji) of East Khasi Hills district on June 2.</p>.<p>According to police, Sonam was having an affair with Kushwaha who worked in her family's business of lamination sheets used in furniture.</p>.<p>Her brother Govind Raghuvanshi was seen on Thursday outside the office of the Crime Prevention Branch of the local police, where the special investigation team of the Meghalaya Police carried out questioning.</p>.<p>He was called to the office but was not questioned, Govind told reporters.</p>.<p>Police recorded the statements of some people working in his family's business and a few associates of Kushwaha, he said.</p>.<p>Sonam was managing the business establishment of her maternal family until her arrest in the murder case of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi.</p>.<p>According to the local police, although Raj Kushwaha, accused of plotting the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, is a 12th dropout, he worked as an accountant in this establishment where he allegedly came close to Sonam.</p>.<p>An official associated with the investigation said the Meghalaya Police team is searching for Sonam's phone and the jewellery that she had taken with her after the murder.</p>.<p>These things have not been found in the flat in Indore where Sonam stayed for several days after returning to her hometown from Meghalaya, he said.</p>.<p>The SIT also recorded the statement of a taxi driver who allegedly took Sonam from Indore to Uttar Pradesh. According to police, after her husband's murder, Sonam returned to Indore and hid in a rented flat for a few days.</p>.<p>According to the official, the taxi driver was identified as Pramod Saha alias Piyush. He said Sonam had surrendered before the police in Ghazipur district late on June 8 after reaching Uttar Pradesh by this taxi.</p>.<p>Meanwhile, talking to PTI in Indore, Raja Raghuvanshi's elder brother Sachin Raghuvanshi said, "Sonam misled the investigators during the eight-day police custody and withheld key details about the murder. She must be remanded to police custody for a longer period for proper interrogation." He once again demanded narco test of Sonam's entire family, alleging that her relatives and friends might also have played a role in the conspiracy to murder his brother.</p>.<p>"It is not easy to plan such a massive conspiracy. The motive behind my brother's murder must be clearly established. For that, Sonam and the other accused should be brought to Indore for a detailed questioning," he added.</p>.<p>Raja's mother Uma Raghuvanshi broke down and kept asking repeatedly, "Why did Sonam get my son killed?" "She, her friends, and all those close to her must be interrogated in detail. What was my son's fault, and why did she get him killed? I won't find peace until I get the answer directly from Sonam," she said.</p>.<p>Police have so far arrested Sonam, Raj Kushwaha and his friends Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi in the case.</p>.<p>Raja Raghuvanshi's family is involved in the transport business.
