<p class="rtejustify">The Congress on Wednesday dismissed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interaction with farmers as yet another publicity trick with “token beneficiaries” of the government programmes.</p>.<p class="rtejustify">“Meeting just a few from the farming community, chosen to praise the NDA's programs is nothing but a gimmick. It is yet another publicity trick,” AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot said.</p>.<p class="rtejustify">He said a meaningful interaction with farmers would be to talk to those whose family members committed suicide due to the agrarian distress or those farmers who have a huge burden of debt.</p>.<p class="rtejustify">“One more PR exercise by the PM. Like all his other PR programmes, everything managed in advance. State machinery has been geared to facilitate PM's interaction with a few farmers, who have been token beneficiaries,” Gehlot said.</p>.<p class="rtejustify">Modi on Wednesday morning addressed farmers from 600 districts through video conferencing and assured them of his government's commitment to double farmers income by 2022.</p>
