Nyay won't burden the country: Rahul Gandhi

JAIPUR, DHNS: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that if the party is voted to power, it will ensure that no farmer in the country will ever go to jail if he fails to repay the loan.

In an election rally held in Ajmer, Gandhi focused on the farmers and the poor. He said that the poor people of this country will start getting Rs 72,000 soon after the elections. While connecting with the crowd, he asked them to raise hands if any of them received Rs 15 lakh as promised by the prime minister. "Prime Minister's promises are bulk of lies. He has mastered an art of fooling people of this country", Gandhi said.

"Congress party has decided on giving Rs 72,000 for poor after consulting experts from different fields. Moreover to ensure women empowerment, the money will be deposited in the account of the woman member of the family," Rahul said. He lashed out at Modi by saying, "Modi is cunning. If he can deposit Rs 45 crore in the account of Anil Ambani, why can't he credit your accounts as well?

As soon he finished talking about Anil Ambani and money, the crowd screamed: "Chowkidar Chor Hai!"

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi held a rally in Jalore Sirohi, where he said he will take out money from all those accounts filled up by Modi, and deposit it for the Nyay (scheme). "The Nyay scheme will not put any additional burden on the country's budget. It will rather infuse life into the Indian economy".

On Thursday, Gandhi scion addressed three rallies in the state — one in Jalore, followed by Ajmer and the last one in Kota. Rajasthan will go to polls on April 29 in which voting will take place in 13 out of 25 Lok Sabha constituencies.
