<p>The bundh was called in protest against the recent arrest of a top Maoist cadre, Ajad and his wife besides two other junior cadres, by the Orissa police. <br /><br />The state’s most wanted Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda had personally rung up local media houses two days back and informed them about the bundh.<br /><br />The police have confirmed that their special operation group sleuths had arrested Ajad’s wife Lilabati Patmajhi alias Sunita from a slum in capital Bhubaneswar recently but denied the Maoists’ claim that Ajad too had been picked up.</p>
