<p>Odisha chief minister and ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Thursday indicated that his party would throw its lot behind a third front if such a formation emerges at the Centre. <br /><br /></p>.<p>According to him, neither the Congress nor the BJP would be able to provide a stable and transparent government in New Delhi after the 2014 general elections.<br /><br />“The corrupt practices of the Congress and the communal politics of the BJP have weakened the nation. Neither of them can give a stable, transparent and secular government which can fulfill the hope and aspirations of the people. Hence, there is a need for a third alternative”, Patnaik said while addressing his party men at a function organized here to mark the seventeenth birthday of the regional outfit.</p>
