Rain washes away portion of road in Assam

Heavy rainfall and strong winds wreaked havoc in the Dima Hasao district of Assam.

Several areas in Dima Hasao have been partially submerged in floodwater.

Torrential rain washed away a portion of the road in the Haflong area of the district. Three persons including a woman died in landslide incidents in the Haflong area. So far, 24,681 people in 94 villages in six districts have been affected due to floods.
