RSS outfit blasts Centre over land bill

Joining hands with other RSS outfits that have expressed reservation over the land acquisition bill before a parliamentary panel, the Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) on Tuesday wondered why the Modi government cannot adopt international practice followed even by the World Bank of making social impact assessment mandatory for taking up a project.

Interestingly, the manch in its written deposition before the panel also agreed with the opposition parties charges that corporates in collusion with the government are snatching cultivable and arable land from poor farmers without adequately compensating them.
