In wake of the scorching heat in Rajasthan, school hours in the state have been cut down.
The State Child Protection Commission has ordered all district collectors to change school timings from 7.30 am to 12 pm.
Also, adhering to the decision of the Child Protection Commission, a notice was issued by the collector asking the district education officers to ensure that the new summer schedule is followed by all government and private schools in the district.
As per the new timing, schools will function from 7.30 am to 12 pm. Most of the private schools function from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm.
Meanwhile, some of the schools have closed the session for primary classes.
On Monday, the maximum temperature was 46.5 degrees Celsius in Bundi. In Jaipur, the temperature was 44.5 degrees Celsius.
