Police are on the look out for a law student who staged a streaking on the busy M G Road in Kochi on Monday evening, demanding resignation of former Supreme Court chief justice and Human Rights Commission Chairman Justice K G Balakrishnan, and his friend who helped him to vanish on the pillion of his bike after the half-a-km naked run.

.
Police said a case has been registered against Roshan Oommen and Sebastian, who are students of Ernakulam Government Law College. It is yet to be ascertained which of the two had staged the streaking.

But the college authorities denied any knowledge of the incident. A section of students at the college on Tuesday took out a march on the college campus supporting their peers.
They said that the two students were trying to expose the social vulgarity of continuing Justice Balakrishnan, facing serious corruption charges, in such a high constitutional post.

``We always protest against political and social injustice and corruption through unconventional means. This was also an offbeat protest. People should discuss the issue and not the mode of protest,’’ argued a student of the college.

The evening crowd on the street was stunned for a moment seeing a well-built man running naked with face covered with a mask. Before police reached the scene, the youth had disappeared. It is not the first time that a student of the college is streaking. The old timers of the city say that four students of the college had resorted to streaking 32 years ago through Broadway, the then main shopping centre, here.
