<p>Hyderabad: Hyderabad cybercrime police arrested two from Gujarat who are involved in the fraud digital arrest of a city-based woman doctor. During the investigation, police found that the duo were involved in a total of 17 cases across India and more cases to be identified during further investigation. </p><p>The fraudsters posed as officers of the telecom department and Delhi police. They also forwarded an order purporting to be issued by the then Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, urging her to prove her innocence and threatening to jeopardise the lives of her husband and son if she fails to do so.</p><p>Police received a complaint from a woman doctor aged 54 years, a resident of Gudimalkapur, Hyderabad, stating that she received a call from an unknown person who called her, posing as an officer from the Telecom Department, and her mobile number was to be blocked in the next two hours as she was along with her number involved in a money laundering case and others in Delhi. </p>.Hyderabad horror: Former jawan who killed wife, chopped off body and boiled parts arrested.<p>But she denied the allegations, and then they converted the call into a Skype call with 'Delhi IPS Officer' and forwarded an order issued by the Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, and insisted she prove her innocence by depositing the amounts into the bank accounts given by them and threatened her that if she doesn’t do so, her husband and son’s lives will also be under threat.</p> <p>They assured her that the deposited amount will be refunded once her innocence is proved. They also cautioned her that this is a national secret, and confidentiality has to be maintained. Nothing is to be disclosed to anyone, as it will affect her entire family. Then, she redeemed her fixed deposits and deposited a total of Rs 3 crore into bank accounts given by the fraudsters. As such, a case in Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad, was registered last year.</p> <p>After investigation Hyderabad cybercrime police took the accused Harpal Singh, 50, and Saiyad Aiyub Bhai, 50, from Gujarat into their custody and seized their SIM cards and a few debit cards.</p>
