<p>Hyderabad: The founder of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS), Manda Krishna Madiga, who expressed displeasure over sub-quota allocation to Madigas among SCs, met with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday, as the Congress government had launched efforts to placate the Dalit leader.</p><p>The MRPS leader said that he extends support to the state government and considers the Chief Minister as his brother for taking up the official process of the SC sub-categorisation. Manda Krishna also explained to the CM about the challenges being faced in the classification of SC sub-castes.</p><p>Revanth Reddy clarified that the Telangana government is committed to rendering justice to the Madiga community and Madiga sub-castes without any political expediency.</p>.Rahul Gandhi to visit Warangal in Telangana.<p>Revanth Reddy briefed the delegation led by Manda Krishna about the discussions held in the Assembly, the constitution of the Cabinet subcommittee, and the judicial commission to expedite the sub-categorisation of SCs.</p><p>The Cabinet also studied the Commission report and approved the same in the Assembly. The Chief Minister said the official process taken up by the state government for SC categorisation helped to avoid legal implications.</p><p>Revanth Reddy suggested the delegation bring their objections and problems, if any, to the attention of the Cabinet Sub-committee as well as the judicial commission.</p><p>Madigas are the single largest subgroup among SCs in Telangana. Manda Krishna Madiga, while welcoming the judicial commission's report, criticised the Congress government for allocating only 9 per cent of the quota to Madigas, arguing that it should be 11 per cent, which is more in line with their population proportion.</p><p>A few days ago, the state government accepted the recommendations of a judicial commission appointed by it for the implementation of SC sub-categorisation, which has been a long-pending demand of MRPS. </p><p>Following a Supreme Court verdict, the Telangana government had appointed a judicial commission headed by retired High Court judge Justice Shameem Akther on SC subcategorisation. The panel submitted its recommendations to the cabinet subcommittee headed by state Civil Supplies and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy last Monday.</p>
