Over two dozen Delhi University (DU) colleges have closed admission for BCom (Hons) after setting the cut-off bar higher this year. The colleges issued their third cut-off list on Friday.

.
Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Lady Shri Ram College (LSRC), College of Vocational Studies (CVS) and Kirori Mal College have closed admission for the general category students in BCom (Hons).

As per the new list, SRCC will only admit students in BA (Hons) Economics. The college has lowered the cut-off ceiling to 97.375 from 97.75 per cent in the second list.

SRCC has already filled all its seats for BCom (Hons) in the General, Other Backward Classes and Schedule Caste categories. However, few seats are up for grabs for students belonging to Persons With Disability (PWD) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
LSRC has filled all general category seats for BCom (Hons). But for BA (Hons) Economics the college has set the cut-off at 97 per cent.

Hindu College, Hansraj College and Ramjas College are among the top North Campus colleges that featured in the third list. The cut-off bar at these colleges is equal or half a per cent less for both BCom (Hons) and BA (Hons) Economics – which are amongst DU's more popular courses.

There are minor variations in cut-offs in these colleges for other popular Arts courses such as English (Hons), Political Science (Hons) and History (Hons).

Science courses such as Mathematics (Hons), Physics (Hons) and Botany (Hons) are still up for grabs at the popular North Campus colleges. Cut-offs in these courses saw just a minor dip.

Despite failing to fill up seats in BSc (Hons) Computer Science, a girls college that posted 100 per cent cut-off for non-science students has not tinkered much with its cut-off bar.

As per the third list, the cut-off for Computer Science at Indraprastha (IP) College for Women ranges from 95 to 100 per cent for candidates belonging to the General category.
In the first list issued on Thursday, IP College and CVS had set the cut-offs at 97-100 and 95-100, respectively. The lower limit here applies to science students. Change of stream can cost disadvantage of up to 5 per cent, as per DU's admission policy.
