Two former Congress chief ministers, Ashok Chavan and Sushilkumar Shinde, veteran Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar and Pritam Munde, the daughter of late Gopinath Munde, are in the fray in Phase 2 of the Lok Sabha polls in Maharashtra.

Former actress Navneet Kaur Rana is also in the race.

The 10 constituencies going to polls on April 18 are Buldhana, Akola and Amravati (in Vidarbha), Hingoli, Nanded, Parbhani, Beed, Osmanabad and Latur (in Marathwada) and Solapur (in Western Maharashtra).

While Chavan is contesting from Nanded, Shinde is standing from Solapur. Munde is a candidate from Beed and Rana will contest from Amravati.

The districts of Latur, Osmanabad and Parbhani are the worst drought-affected areas.
