The constable was so drunk that he could hardly move without help, according to the eye witnesses.<br /><br />The incident also surprised the cops at the police station. “We could not believe when the two undertrials came inside the police station and introduced themselves,” said a police official.<br /><br />According to reports, the two undertrials, Sanjeev and Arun Pal, who are facing charges of robbery and murder and lodged in the Moradabad district jail, were brought by two constables to Bijnore for a court hearing.<br /><br />As the court was closed on Thursday on account of Janmashtami festival, the constables decided to have a booze session. They asked Sanjeev and Arun to wait at a bus station and went to a nearby bar.<br /><br />After waiting for the policemen at the bus station for a long time, the undertrials went in search of them. After some time they managed to trace one of them, reports said.<br /><br />When they failed to locate the second constable, they decided to escort the drunk cop to the nearest police station in the town. The drunk cops would be proceeded against, said the officials. While admitting that the undertrials could easily have escaped, the police said they did not do so as they were handcuffed.</p>
