West Bengal Assembly Elections highlights: Mamata govt has not done anything for farmers, Adivasis, says Nadda
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee issued a direct challenge to the BJP saying that no injury or conspiracy can stop her from continuing the battle against the saffron party. The feisty Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo who addressed back to back rallies in Purulia district also said that she will continue to fight against the BJP as long as she is alive and able to speak. Shah told an election rally that while the TMC cried conspiracy over the Nandigram incident, the Election Commission had concluded it was not "hamla" (attack) but "haadsa" (accident). UP CM Yogi Adityanath adressed a rally in Bengal when he accused the TMC government of failing to stop cow slaughter. Elections to the 294-member assembly will be held in eight phases between March 27 and April 29. Votes will be counted on May 2.
