Karnataka Crisis LIVE | Rebel MLAs and BSY expect floor test on Monday

By adjourning the House till Monday (July 22), Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar extended the life of Congress-JD(S) coalition government by a few days. Earlier, Karnataka Governor Vajubhai R Vala issued a second deadline to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy asking him to prove his majority on the floor of the House today itself as the Speaker ruled out trust vote until the end of debates in the Assembly by scrapping Governor's first deadline of 1.30 pm. The Congress-JD(S) coalition’s tally currently stands at 102 after 15 legislators tendered their resignation. The Opposition BJP now has 107, including the two Independents. Meanwhile, reports say that Kumaraswamy is attempting to move the SC to intervene in order to stay the governor's order. Watch the drama unfold with DH's Live Updates as we wait for the action to begin with the reconvening of the house at 11 am.
