Here are some easy-to-cook crab recipes

Crab kebab

INGREDIENTS: Soft-portion crab with shell (1/2 kg), cut into
pieces. Marinate with 2 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp black pepper

powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 ½ tsp corn flour, 1 egg, 1/4 tsp tandoori colour, 1 tbsp lime juice, ajinomoto, 2 tsp ginger & garlic paste, 2 tsp jeera powder for an hour.

METHOD: Coat each piece in bread crumbs and keep them in the fridge for
30 minutes. Deep fry in hot oil. Garnish with fried curry leaves.

Crab fry

INGREDIENTS: Crab 1/2 kg pieces — marinate with 1 tsp tamarind pulp,
2 tsp dhania powder, 2 tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder & salt for 30 minutes. 1 tbsp aniseed, 1 tsp cumin seeds, curry leaves , 2 chopped onions or sambar onions, 10 to 15 slit green chillies, 2 tsp ginger & garlic paste, 2 chopped tomatoes, chopped fresh coriander leaves, 2 tbsp oil.

METHOD: Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a kadai and add aniseed powder, cumin seeds, curry leaves, onions or sambar onions, slit green chillies, ginger, garlic paste, tomatoes, and fry well. Add marinated crab, 1/2 a cup of
water, and cook till dry. Lastly, add pepper powder, 1 tbsp ghee, and
fry well.

Crab kurma in green masala

INGREDIENTS: Crab 1/2 kg cut into pieces, 1 cinnamon, 2 cloves, 1 tbsp
aniseed powder, 2 chopped onions, curry leaves, 2 chopped tomatoes, or
½ cup puree, 4 slit green chillies, chopped fresh coriander, salt, 2 tbsp oil.

Ground to paste 25 gm cashew nuts, ¼ cup fresh coconut, 1 tbsp poppy seeds with waterto make a fine paste.
Green masala paste — 6 to 8 green chillies, 1 tsp turmeric powder, ¼ cup fresh coriander, 2 tsp dhania powder. With water, make a fine paste.

METHOD: Heat oil and add aniseed powder, whole masalas, onions,
1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste, curry leaves, 2 chopped tomotes.
Fry and add crab green paste, 1/2 a cup of water and 1 ½ tsp of salt. Cook till done. Add coconut paste and cook till it’s semi thick.
Lastly, sprinkle fresh coriander & 1 tbsp ghee.

Crab masala

INGREDIENTS: ½ kg crab cut into pieces, 1 cup coconut
grated, 2 tsp jeera seeds, 1 tsp aniseeds, curry leaves, 1 tbsp whole dhania, 1 tsp pepper seeds. Except crab make a fine paste with water. Other ingridients — 2 tbsp oil, 1/2 tsp aniseed, 2 dry red chillies, curry leaves, 2 chopped onions, 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste, 2 chopped tomatoes, salt, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp
chilli powder, 1 tsp dhania powder, 1 tsp jeera powder.

METHOD: Heat oil, add aniseed, red chillies, curry leaves, onion, ginger, garlic paste, tomatoes, chilli powder, dhania powder, turmeric powder, jeera powder. Fry and add crab and 1/2 cup of water. Cook well, add salt & coconut paste, add 1/2 a cup of water.
Garnish with fresh coriander.
