Chef Post recently organised, 'The Boiling Point', a one-of-a-kind event, that saw about 70 chefs from 22 hotels and premium stand-alone restaurants, showcase unique seafood creations - all under one roof. About the idea behind such an event, Sneha Chandrashekhar, says "The idea of such an event was to celebrate of the culinary landscape of the city. It gave chefs the opportunity to exhibit their culinary skills and explore their creativity."

However, the highlight was that the chefs carried out a live cooking session. "The choice of seafood and cuisine was left to the discretion of the participants. There was no restriction on creativity and chefs had to liberty to choose what they wanted to bring onto the platter. And each chef came up with a unique dish within the limited time," says Sneha. The chefs came up with a neat mix of local delicacies and experimental varieties in seafood.

Celebrity chef Vicky Ratnani and His Excellency Ambassador Gudmundur Arni Stefansson from Iceland to India were on the tasting panel.
