State-owned locomotive manufacturer Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has produced 9,800 locomotives till date with the company General Manager Praveen Kumar Mishra flagging off the 9800th locomotive, WAG-9HC loco (32236) at an event held at plant premises.
Since the inauguration, CLW in West Bengal's Asansol, the company has produced a total of 9,800 locomotives till date, said the release from the company.
D K Mondal, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, Ram Prakash, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, D K Choudhury, Principal Chief Engineer, Srikant Rai, Principal Chief Material Manager, Sriprakash, Principal Chief Personnel Officer; Ramashish Yadav, Chief Vigilance Officer and other senior officers were present during the occasion.
The company also displayed its 250th electric locomotive of the year 2018-19 at its plant, the statement said.
