The 64-year-old leader was admitted to St Thomas Hospital at Chettipuzha in Changanacherry, 20 km from here, yesterday.
He would be under the treatment of Dr P S John, a former Professor and Head of Department of Orthopaedics of Kottayam Medical College, hospital sources said.
After a road accident during election campaigning in 2004, the Congress leader became paraplegic and was under treatment in various leading hospitals over the years.
Jogi has been brought here since he had consulted Dr John in Delhi some time ago.
Congress leader Oommen Chandy and Prof P J Kurien, MP, visited him yesterday.
