Amidst speculation that the BJP is indulging in Operation Lotus, more than 90 saffron party MLAs are staying in a five-star hotel at Gurugram in Haryana.

These legislators are under close watch of the party senior leaders including state unit president B S Yeddyurappa.

Despite BJP leaders tight lipped about operation Kamala, it is evident that the BJP too worried the counter operation by JD (S)-Congress.

The party leaders hinted that their legislators may have to stay back a few more days in the national capital.

To avoid legislators talking to anybody other than their family members, their mobile phones have been taken away and barred from going outside the hotel premises.

Except for regular guests, others were strictly not allowed inside the hotel. Even security staff of the hotel stopped the media personnel at hotel gate itself.

Haryana police provided tight security to hotel premises.

"Despite Sankranti festival, legislators were stayed put in the hotel. The hotel management arranged legislators to celebrate Sankranti festival in the hotel premises," sources said.

The hotel also made arrangement for South Indian food to the BJP leaders, said the sources. These leaders who came to attend the party national conference on January 11, stayed back in the guise of meeting to prepare Lok Sabha polls.

Apart from MLAs, some of the party MPs are also staying in the hotel.
