Chidamabram, his wife Nalini and son Karthik and his family members arrived here on Friday afternoon by road from Madurai in Tamil Nadu, official sources said.
They later took a cruise in the famous Periyar Lake in the afternoon, enjoying the panoramic beauty of Kerala's eco tourism hub.
The minister is scheduled to leave tomorrow, the sources said.
