Modi in China: Cong asks PM about visit

Last Updated 21 September 2018, 12:12 IST

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi back home after his two-day China visit, the Congress on Saturday came out with seven posers, asking him to apprise the nation of the ‘outcome’ of the visit.

Accusing the BJP government of “playing with national security”, Congress communication chief Randeep Surjewala asked the Prime Minister, “Is it not true that China is regularly carrying out incursion in our bordering areas in Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

“Did the Prime Minister raise the issues of Doklam, One Belt One Road, China Pakistan economic corridor, the presence of Chinese military in Pakistan's Gwadar port, Chinese airforce buildup in Tibet and border incursions by China into Indian states. What was the reaction of Chinese President Xi Jinping? What was the outcome of talks? How did he assertively discuss the issues related to our national interest,” Surjewala asked?
