DMK cadre attack restaurant staff over free biryani

DMK cadre indulged in arson at a restaurant in Chennai after they were not allegedly served 'biriyani' free of cost.

On Sunday, DMK youth wing secretary Yuvaraj and his supporters head out to Kauvery Hospital, but they wanted to eat something before reaching there.

In CCTV recordings, Yuvaraj is shown entering into an argument with the cashier of the restaurant in Virugambakkam area after the latter refused to servee 'biryani' without paying for it. Enraged at the cashier's act, Yuvaraj slapped him and pushed away stacks of bills kept on the counter.

Two waiters who tried to save their cashier were also attacked and are seen falling on the ground.

This was captured in a CCTV camera in Salem RR Biriyani shop in Virugambakkam in Chennai on 29th July. According to hotel staff, the goons had said that they were going to the hospital where DMK president M Karunanidhi was hospitalised.

As the video went viral on social media, DMK working president M K Stalin said they have been suspended from the party and warned cadre of strict action if they indulge in arson.
