EC needs to look into EVM malfunction: Fadnavis

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday took a serious note of the malfunctioning of the EVMs but rejected that it resulted in the defeat of the other political parties.

"This is something serious. The Election Commission must look into the issue," Fadnavis said.

"For some parties, it is 'When we win EVMs are good, when we lose EVMs are bad'," he said, adding that because of malfunction of EVMs it was the BJP that got affected the worst.

"EVMs need to be intact and functioning... as it's a constitutional obligation to ensure that everyone gets a chance to vote," he said.
